Long Island Crossing
By 2050 Long Island will be completely developed. Congestion and long travel times off of the island have already hit their peak and alternative means of transportation are needed. Because of the islands geographic location there are plenty of opportunities and avenues for alternative transportation systems.
Integrating a new transportation system that allows easy North-South travel as well as alternative avenues off of Long Island to New England are the main focus of the Sound Crossing Project.
